About the Tech- Cameras, 'Pods, and More
None of what we do would be possible without the technology itself- that is, the camera, lens, accessories, 'pods (we're talking mono or tripods!), and other useful gadgets.
But of course, the basis of all our photography is the camera body. I only have one- no backups!- camera. That's my trusty Canon Rebel. More specifically a Canon Rebel XT, or a Canon EOS 350D. It doesn't matter though- my camera gets the job done. It has over five modes, and although I use only one 90% of the time (you guessed it- manual!), they are definitely useful at times. It has aperture ranges, f-stop ranges, all kinds of bits and pieces, including custom functions.
And of course, to get the job close, we have those rather beautiful common lens. There's a wide variety- but so little time to pick and choose cheap, high-quality ones. Thus, I have two- but they work fine.
Of course, I have my trusty reach-and-bring-it-in-close zoom lens (75-300mm), which work fine and dandy.
And my macro/large scene lens, the "default" 18-55mm lens so common among beginners and experts alike comes along with me too. I use it for big, wide scenes or even tiny, mind bending macro scenes.
I also use one clamp, mono-like tripod for many long exposure and slow shutter pictures. It clamps on to anything- you name it!- and bends like the trusty GorillaPod, without the tripod style. For my tripod, I have a fancy, 'professional' Vivitar tripod.! It's aluminum with multiple functions, and works excellent for scenery and 'set-up' scenes.
Along with that, I have a 58mm Polarizer Tissen filter, which both reduces glare and saturates an image to your liking. I use it a lot, specifically in farm equipment scenes or sunny/sunset/sunrise scenes. I also have 1 UV 58mm filter on my zoom lens and 1 CPL filter on my "default" lens.
I also aim for a 2X teleconverter too, as many photographers find little gadgets like that useful, and a few other things. I try to widely use my accessories-safely- for more than they were intended, and it actually saves me time, gas, money and indeed the stress of prices in the long run.

About the Photographer- Emma Fimrite
My name is Emma, and I run Emma's Photo Source pretty much solely by myself.
I am not old yet, and am aiming for a degree dealing with animals- probably dogs, in which I plan to also (and sell) photograph(s). I love photography, and wildlife.
I also ride horses, which gives me something to do, and obtain money through rodeos and gymkhanas. However, at times I do find the almost-lost joy in the horse, rather than just the sport of money, speed, and socializing.
My favourite animal is the dog, and my favourite breeds of dog are that of the Labrador Retriever, and the Akita.
I have a high respect for animals, nature, and people that respect nature.
Outside of photography and nature-loving, I frequently skidoo, draw, and read. Besides that, I awaken early, for that helps me function properly.
I live in North America, but for security reasons I will only say I am a proud Canadian.
